How Bralen Trice Can Step Into The Falcons Defense In 2025
Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons drafted Trice out of Washington with the 74th pick in the 2024 NFL draft and watched as he missed his entire rookie season with a torn ACL. Trice was a two-time first team All-Pac-12 in college.

The Falcons could have used Trice in 2024, as the team struggled to do much in pass rush or stopping the run. They also had a bunch of injuries throughout the season. Trice will look to come in for his first full season and make an impact along with other young stars.

Trice joins a group of young stars who have yet to touch the field in the NFL such as Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. Those three are looking to make big impacts right out the gate and each one will bring in their own unique set of skills.

At the moment, training camp is the most realistic goal for Trice to fully return, and there is where he can shine and show what the Falcons were missing last season. If Trice can play up to the level he did in college, the Falcons will have a young core on defense for the future and can be on par with some of the top defenses in the league for years to come.

As OTA's continue, Trice will continue to heal and will hopefully be ready by the time training camp rolls around. He will be another pass rusher that the Falcons desperately need, and he can also play the outside linebacker position when needed as well.
