You don't need money to show love.
But if you have money ... it doesn't hurt to try.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and the rest of his mates are putting behind them their losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX by a lopsided 40-22 score.
There is life after football - maybe especially for Kelce, who at age 35 is contemplating retirement.
But more immediately? Life after the football season means Valentine's Day ... and in the case of the All-Pro tight end and his love for his girlfriend - billionaire pop icon Taylor Swift - is means an incredible array of pricy gifts, too.
According to a new report, Kelce went all out on the gifts for his sweetheart, much like he has done before on special holidays and special occasions.
"Travis knows that Taylor loves Valentine’s day, as they both are very romantic and people that enjoy every day and event that celebrate love and passion," a "well-placed" source told the U.S. Sun. "He pays attention to every thing she says about items she find cute and nice, he pretty much as a list on his phone where he has notes on things she says and pieces she loves!"
Cute? Nice? Yes, the revealing of the fact that Kelce just spent just over $140,000 in gifts is ... cute and nice.
Per the source: "He decided to send flowers, roses as it’s the symbol of love and she loves them so much, and multiple luxurious things for their next couple of months," the source added. "Superb Cartier watches, and also some nice pieces occasionally clothing from Louis Vuitton and Ferragamo for her to take on their next few trips overseas that will be taking very soon."
According to reports, Kelce apparently purchased two Cartier watches worth $114,700 and a Cartier necklace costing $2,530. And then there were the flowers, with $999 spend on a box of something called "Venus Et Fleur's Le Duo Magnifique.''
Kelce has some time to spend ... and some money to spend ... and we're sure the happy couple is enjoying it all, from Valentine's Day to much more in the future.
