The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a shootout to Joe Flacco and the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football in Week 7. Pittsburgh couldn’t have asked for more from its offense, but the defense let them down. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins bullied them all night. It’s time for Mike Tomlin’s team to get their revenge at home. The Bengals are coming to town, and the Steelers need to avenge that loss.

5. Activate Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Pittsburgh signed Marquez Valdes-Scantling, but he hasn’t appeared in a game yet. It’s time to unleash him. He played four seasons in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers. With the legend as his quarterback, he caught 118 passes for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 33 explosive plays according to Stathead. Rodgers won two MVP Awards with Valdes-Scantling on his team. It’s time for the Steelers to see what he has left in the tank.

4. Play A Clean Game

Pittsburgh was a turnover machine last week in Los Angeles, and that can’t happen again. If they don’t take care of the football, they will risk being swept by a Joe Burrow-less Bengals team this season. That’s unacceptable for the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s offense needs to secure the football, and the defense has to take it away from Flacco and the Bengals. It’s crucial to do those two things to win games in the rugged AFC North. Take care of the ball, and the rest will work itself out.

3. Play Steelers Football

It’s time for Tomlin’s team to get back to playing smashmouth Steelers football. When these two teams met in Week 7, Jaylen Warren had a career day. He rushed for 127 yards and averaged 7.9 yards per carry. Feed the beast. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh’s defense didn’t get a sack until the fourth quarter in the first game against Cincinnati this season. They have to make Flacco feel them. Don’t let them run that quick game bulljive. Handle business and play Steelers football.

2. The Aaron Rodgers Bounce Back Game

Aaron Rodgers played his worst game of the season last week in Los Angeles, and the Steelers need him to bounce back. Cincinnati’s defense is suspect, and he can pick them apart again like he did in Week 7. Feed Pat Freiermuth. He owns the Bengals with six touchdowns in nine games against them. It’s time for the four-time NFL MVP to get back on track, and Cincinnati is the perfect team to do it against.

1. Control Ja’Marr Chase

Ja’Marr Chase went berserk on Pittsburgh in Week Seven, and it can’t happen again. He was targeted 23 times and caught 16 of them for 161 yards and a touchdown. Chase is one of the best receivers in football, so they can’t expect to hold him completely silent, but the Steelers can’t let him dominate the game again like he did earlier in the season. Joey Porter Jr needs to shadow him all day. Chase will get his, but it’s about limiting his production as much as possible. Don’t let him win the game.

End Of My Pittsburgh Steelers Rant

Pittsburgh desperately needs a win in Week 11 against the Bengals. The Baltimore Ravens have already caught up to them in the divisional race, and a loss would drop them to 5-5 on the season after starting 4-1. The Steelers are famous for collapsing these days, but it doesn’t usually happen this early. Beating Cincinnati and the Chicago Bears would bring them to 7-4 before the final stretch of the season. They will need at least 10 wins to make the playoffs in the AFC.
