Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman must be sitting back in his office, smiling about the work he has done for this roster. Roseman's NFL draft picks continue to prove themselves worthy.

Pro Football Focus has been a significant help in ensuring everyone is aware of Roseman's successes, as reflected in their rankings at each position. It appears there are a lot of Roseman's picks who are in the top 20 on each of those. Two of those guys are cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Maybe Roseman's best picks.

PFF was back at it with the evidence of Mitchell and DeJean's stellar rookie seasons with a single post on social media. Without sharing the actual grades, PFF shared the four cornerbacks in the NFL from last year who had the highest man-coverage grades in the NFL. Mitchell and DeJean were pictured side by side.

Mitchell and DeJean are the perfect duo to lead Roseman's youth movement into the future

It's easy to see how great DeJean and Mitchell were in their rookie campaigns last year. Mitchell stood out the most in his 16 starts in Philadelphia with 46 tackles and 12 pass deflections on the season. While he did not have an interception in the regular season, he did allow a completion percentage of just 54.7%.

DeJean was also great in the regular season, but it wouldn't be until about the midway point of the year that he came out of his shell. He finished the 2024 regular season with 51 tackles, six pass deflections, three tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and a half-sack.

Mitchell and DeJean became household names in the postseason as Mitchell finally got his interceptions, as he had two of them. Even DeJean got an interception of his own in the Super Bowl that was returned for a touchdown on his birthday.

Both guys were in the running for Defensive Rookie of the Year, with neither winning it. Mitchell finished second in the voting while DeJean was fourth.

This is a testament to Roseman and his scouting department for identifying the right talent to have on the team. Mitchell was a late first-round pick, and DeJean was a second-round pick, with both guys considered the two best cornerbacks entering the 2024 NFL Draft.

It's rare to see a general manager who has been as hot as Roseman has been with his decisions from the front office. He's building a reputation that was showcased in the 2025 NFL Draft, with many teams avoiding a trade with him, but in true Roseman style, he just needed to move up one spot to get his choice all along: Jihaad Campbell.

The Eagles are now higher than ever on Mitchell and DeJean being the future in the secondary, while Roseman gets back to work to find the next hidden gems.
