Hypothetical trade scenario has the Los Angeles Rams making a move for disgruntled young quarterback who will be traded after the draft

While the 2025 NFL draft is less than a week away, it's almost a guarantee that Miami quarterback Cam Ward is a lock to land with the Tennessee Titans with the number-one pick in the draft.

That leaves former second-round pick quarterback Will Levis left in limbo, as he will almost certainly not be in contention for the starting job. The Titans will almost certainly look to trade Levis and let someone try to develop him to reach his upside.

Bleacher Report explored a hypothetical trade package and named the Rams as a team to trade for Will Levis.

"Rams Get: QB Will Levis, 2025 fifth-round pick (No. 167)

Titans Get: 2025 fourth-round pick (No. 127)

"The Los Angeles Rams would give Levis a chance to compete for a starting job. They could, however, provide him with a perfect opportunity to develop as a pro quarterback. Learning under Sean McVay and behind Matthew Stafford could help Levis reach his NFL potential. McVay's spacing-based offense would allow him to operate as a "see it, throw it" passer while learning to better read defenses, hone accuracy and make better decisions. The Rams, meanwhile, will need to find an heir to Stafford at some point. The 37-year-old will be back in 2025 after agreeing to an adjusted contract but isn't going to play forever. Now, McVay's statement may be mere pre-draft smoke, and the Rams could be considering a prospect like Dart or Alabama's Jalen Milroe with the 26th pick. If they're not, however, using a Day 3 pick swap to acquire Levis could be a wise move."

As loath as I would be to give up a fourth-round pick in this draft, if the Rams are serious about adding a quarterback in the offseason, adding Levis would be infinitely more preferable to spending a pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on one.

Levis was frequently compared to Stafford as a prospect, and who better to learn from than the man himself?
