'I Retired After That Game': Emmanuel Sanders Drops Patrick Mahomes Story That Ended His Career

Former wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders, blames Patrick Mahomes for his early retirement from the game. Mahomes, who is currently the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been a major threat to teams and individual players in the NFL. With Mahomes at the lead, the Chiefs are no. 1 in the AFC West after winning 11 games and losing only one.

In his most recent appearance, Mahomes attempted 46 passes and completed 26 for 306 yards, along with a single TD. In an appearance in FOX Sports’ ‘The Facility’, Sanders discussed the menace that Mahomes can be to other players, and how the quarterback made him retire from the game he loved.

“I still remember my family after we scored. My family’s going crazy. I told them to calm down because I’ve been in the division with Pat, you got to play him full four quarters … I told my family It’s not over, because he been through it. Got me in the Super Bowl, AFC West,” Sanders said on ‘The Facility’.

“We never got him with the Broncos, and then I get the Buffalo 13 seconds. He the real deal… I retired after that game. He’s the reason I’m up here right now.”

Emmanuel Sanders faced Mahomes when he was a part of the Buffalo Bills, and saw the quarterback force the team out of the 2021 AFC divisional round. In that game, Patrick Mahomes forced Buffalo into overtime, and the Kansas City Chiefs won with a final score of 42-36, after the quarterback managed an eight-yard TD pass to Travis Kelce.

Patrick Mahomes’ Son, Bronze, Still Hates Santa Claus

It has been known for quite some time that Bronze, Patrick Mahomes’ son does not exactly like Santa. Another Christmas season has come, and the hatred that Bronze has toward Santa still has not gone away. In a recent picture shared by Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Bronze can be seen squirming. Brittany went on to explain that the reason for Bronze’s discomfort was a result of Santa sitting nearby.

Fans who follow the Mahomes’ family closely came to know of Bronze’s dislike of Santa in 2022, when Brittany Mahomes revealed the fact. Apparently, little Bronze was so afraid of Santa that he refused to sleep. Bronze is not the only one in the Mahomes family who does not like Santa Claus. His big sister, Sterling Skye is also afraid of the universally-loved figure.
