The Minnesota Vikings will be without its defensive leader safety Harrison Smith on Sunday when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16 action.
Smith is listed among the inactive players as he deals with a foot injury. He entered the weekend with a questionable injury designation.
It's the first time Smith will miss a game due to injury since 2022.
Smith is a key player on a Brian Flores-led defense and it'll be tough to replace his value, especially against an aggressive passing offense and Seattle quarterback Geno Smith.
Minnesota could turn to Theo Jackson as their third safety, alongside Josh Metellus and Camryn Bynum. The team also elevated safety Bobby McCain to the active roster from the practice squad for extra insurance against Seattle with Smith out.
