The full 2025 NFL schedule will be released on Wednesday, but the Indianapolis Colts got a nice teaser with one of their games being announced.
The NFL released the full slate for international matchups this year on Tuesday. The Colts have known for a while that they would host the first-ever NFL matchup in Berlin, Germany. And now they know who and when they will play as well.
Over the last couple of months, there has been plenty of speculation on who the Colts could play in Berlin, Germany. The two teams it seemed to come down to were the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos. Ultimately, the NFL landed on an AFC vs. NFC clash as the Colts are set to square off with the Falcons Week 10 on November 9 in Germany.
The Colts were one of the first teams to play in Germany in 2023, and they came away victorious over the New England Patriots. They will now look to improve their record in Germany to 2-0, with the upcoming matchup with the Falcons being the only thing standing in their way of that goal.
The Colts and Falcons don't square off often, with them being in different conferences. Before this matchup, each of the previous six times these two teams played each other, there was a four-year gap between each matchup. The Colts have had some solid luck against the Falcons, winning eight of the last ten matchups against the team. The most recent matchup, though, resulted in a dominant Falcons win in 2023 by a score of 29 to 10. A new chapter will be written this season, though, and it will be in a new language this time around.
