Tributes continue to pour in for Jim Irsay , the beloved former owner of the Indianapolis Colts, who passed away last Wednesday

On Sunday night, the Indiana Pacers paid tribute to Irsay with a moment of silence just before Game 3 of their Eastern Conference finals showdown against the New York Knicks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana.

Irsay’s impact on Indiana clearly transcends football, as his loss is mourned not just by NFL fans but also by leagues like the NBA.

Irsay was also a big supporter of the Pacers. In fact, the last post he made on X (formerly Twitter) was about Indiana, which is looking to book a ticket to the 2025 NBA Finals.

However, the Pacers fell prey to the visiting Knicks in Game 3, squandering a big lead in a 106-100 loss at the hands of Karl-Anthony Towns and the Knicks.

Also on Sunday, Irsay’s daughter, Casey Irsay Foyt, was given the honor to wave the green flag at the start of the 2025 Indy 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

With the passing of Irsay at the age of 65 years old, Foyt and his sisters,  Carlie Irsay-Gordon and Kalen Jackson, will take over as co-owners of the Colts, as noted by FOX Sports.
