The Indianapolis Colts traveled to Los Angeles to face the Chargers, with the winner taking sole possession of first place in the AFC. The Colts’ offense had another day of putting on a scoring clinic in LA. Running Back Jonathan Taylor rushed for three scores alone. The defense showed how banged up it is in the secondary, allowing three straight touchdowns in the second half. It was a great team win with the final score 38-24.

Colts Offense Continues To Dominate

The Colts’ offense on Sunday against the Chargers scored 38 points. That makes it six out of seven games they have put up over 30 points this season. They keep showing why this team is special. And how about this Daniel Jones story? I mean, everyone basically rode him off, and he is now leading the best offense in the league.

Taylor also continues to show why he is the best running back in football with 16 carries for 94 yards and three rushing touchdowns. He also got himself in the passing attack this week with three catches for 38 yards. He became the first Colts player with three rushing touchdowns in three games in the same season. He is having an MVP campaign so far.

Colts Defense Made Plays When Needed

The defense had a mediocre showing. They allowed the Chargers offense to score 24 points, with three of those touchdowns happening in the second half. They did get pressure on Justin Herbert, sacking him three times. Grover Stewart also batted a ball and came down with the interception.

Overall, the defense made plays when they needed them, but the team needs to make moves before the trade deadline to sure up that injured secondary. Herbert threw for a career-high 421 yards. The secondary will need help come the NFL Playoffs. It will be interesting to see what the front office does before the deadline.

Final Thoughts

The Colts solidified themselves as the number one team in the AFC and possibly the NFL with this win in LA. This team has a great running game and a QB who is playing at an MVP level.
