Pat McAfee is disgusted with the Indianapolis Colts right now.
After giving up 45 points to the lowly New York Giants on Sunday, resulting in getting eliminated from playoff contention, McAfee roasted his former team on Twitter/X for having another unacceptable season.
"I’ve said what I believed to be the truth about the team..& a bunch of 'Colts fans' on the internet were trying to get me booed out of the city. Current players, who have won nothing during their entire tenures, started using me and my face to try and paint me as the enemy in the city I’ve committed my life to. And in the end…everything went.. just like I (expletive) said it would," part of McAfee's tweet read. "In the biggest moments, everybody with a brain knew they’d crack...and they did."
He added a lot more frustration in the tweet since he's tired of the Colts not taking the next step this year.
Colts defensive tackle Deforest Buckner was asked about that tweet during a media appearance on Monday and confirmed that he heard about it.
“I didn’t see (and) I’m going to be honest, I’ve been staying off social media. But I haven’t seen his tweet. I’ve heard about it. Look, I know Pat’s a former Colt. He has tremendous passion for this organization (and) this city. He has every right to be mad," Buckner said. "There are times where we haven’t had people being accountable and stuff like that and we’ve called people out on it and things like that. ... It’s one of those things where like I said, this offseason, there’s going to be some changes."

There has to be some change for the Colts after they failed to make the playoffs for a fourth straight season. Shane Steichen has been the head coach for the last two seasons and while he's a good offensive mind, he still hasn't been able to lead the Colts over the hump.
General manager Chris Ballard could also be on the hot seat once the regular season ends since he's been GM since 2017 and has only been to the playoffs twice since then.
Time will tell with regard to what changes the organization makes.
