Indianapolis Colts Training Camp Day 2 Notes
- A tree lays across the front fencing at the Colts Indianapolis Farm Bureau Football Center on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts were back on the field in Westfield, Indiana, at Grand Park for day two of training camp. It was another day full of intel for us to dive into, like which quarterback had the better day and who stood out at linebacker. The big thing for me is how impressive Justin Walley has been, a rookie the team selected in this year’s draft. Let’s see where the team is after two full days of camp.

Colts Day 2 Notes

The first thing to point out is that Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson Sr. are switching days in which player gets reps with the first team. So today it would be Jones that went first, and he had a mediocre showing, finishing the day 6-of-10 (5-of-7 with the starters). It was another fairly quiet day down the field for Jones as his best throw of the day came on rollout to the right, hitting Alec Pierce just before the wideout went out of bounds.

Richardson Sr. went 3-of-7 (2-of-3 with the starters). I will say that two of these incompletions were not on Richardson. D.J. Montgomery dropped a well-thrown ball by Richardson, and Adonai Mitchell couldn’t come down with an on-target throw, as Jaylon Jones made a nice break on the play to cause an incompletion.

The next big piece of info is how well the defensive unit has been moving up and down the field while also making plays on the ball. The secondary has been making it very difficult on the wideouts as well as the tight ends. Walley started once again, this time in the slot corner position with veteran Kenny Moore getting a rest day. The team had a great day two of training camp, with tomorrow getting a little bit longer.
