Indianapolis Colts Training Camp Notes: Day 12
- Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones (17) looks to pass Friday, July 25, 2025, during training camp held at Grand Park in Westfield.

The Indianapolis Colts continued training camp practice at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, on Sunday. It was a practice filled with all kinds of notes. The first is that the quarterback competition is extremely close, and neither QB has separated themselves. The second is that the cornerback room has gone from the deepest in recent years to being completely depleted. Let’s dive into the biggest storylines from day 12 of Colts training camp.

Colts Practice

The first thing I want to point out is that veteran Cornerback Kenny Moore was seen leaving with a trainer with an apparent knee injury. He is the fourth corner the team lost to injury during training camp. This cornerback room has gone from the deepest I have seen in years to the most depleted.

The good news is that Justin Walley is the only one out of the four who appears to be season-ending. The next big note is that of the wideouts, with AD Mitchell having another great day of practice. Alec Pierce would also go inside with a trainer. He would come back out to do some agility work and then limped off for the rest of the day.

The big news will be that Daniel Jones will still start the second preseason game against the Packers. Head Coach Shane Steichen said, “Jones will play a couple of series and then Richardson will take over to get the majority of the reps.” It will be great to see Anthony Richardson get a chance to bounce back and prove himself on the field.

Final Thoughts

The team will be back on the practice field tomorrow from 4 PM to 5:40 PM. They also have another joint practice this week with the Packers coming to Grand Park on Thursday, leading up to the game Saturday. Stay tuned to Total Apex Sports for everything you need to know about Colts football.
