It seems ridiculous to criticize the Pittsburgh Steelers for always being good. The criticism is actually that they are not “great”, just always good. Just good enough to make the playoffs, but not great enough to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Well, guess what? There are many NFL fan bases out there that would love that problem. The Indianapolis Colts is one of them. They have not been good or great for a while. This year, they may jump to “great.”
With a NFL best 7-1 record the playoff and Super Bowl hopes of the Colts fans have reached a fever pitch. In Pittsburgh, it’s the “same ol’ same ol” with some good wins, some bad losses and nothing yet to say this season will be great.
Sunday’s match-up will determine if the Colts remain on a path to greatness or if the Steelers move it up a notch and score a big win.

The Colts have embraced the old-school football phrase “Just Run the Dang Ball” …with a dominant rushing attack. T-shirts and ball caps are on sale at a store near you. Jonathan Taylor has been unstoppable, racking up 850 rushing yards on just 143 carries, averaging an incredible 5.9 yards per run. In addition, he has 12 rushing touchdowns.
This run-first mentality has created opportunities for quarterback Daniel Jones. With 2,062 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and only three interceptions, Jones has to be the leading candidate for Comeback Player of the Year. His 71.2% completion rate and 109.5 passer rating show a quarterback thriving behind a balanced offense that keeps defenses guessing.
Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers may not be the superstar of years ago, but he runs an efficient office and avoids mistakes. He has thrown 16 touchdowns against just five interceptions. On defense, Nick Herbig actually leads the team in sacks with 4.5, while T.J. Watt has four. Payton Wilson leads the team with 57 tackles. ers for the Steelers:
In what seems like 10 seasons ago (actually week three), I declared the Los Angeles Chargers the favorite to win the Super Bowl and vowed to pick them to win each week. Well, we all know how that turned out. Now I move that same faith to the Colts. Check back with me in a few weeks to see if I am apologizing to another fan base.
