Inside Week 15 NFL numbers: A six-pack of Sunday's most interesting stats

Using Pro Football Reference, Yardbarker shines a spotlight on key names and numbers from Sunday's NFL action:

Jets beaten to pulp: The New York Jets' 30-0 loss to the Dolphins was the eighth straight defeat the Jets suffered in Miami, the longest such streak in franchise history. The Jets' last win in South Florida came on Dec. 28, 2014.

Browns barely ground one out: Despite gaining just 29 collective rushing yards, the Cleveland Browns beat the Chicago Bears 20-17 thanks to 374 passing yards from backup quarterback Joe Flacco. This was the first time Cleveland won a game with so few rushing yards as a team since Dec. 4, 1988. That day, the Browns beat the Dallas Cowboys 24-21 despite 27 total rushing yards. Quarterback Bernie Kosar threw for 308 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Cardinals run free, still lose: Conversely, the Arizona Cardinals lost to the San Francisco 49ers 45-29 despite 234 rushing yards as a team. This was the most rushing yards the Cardinals gained in a loss since Nov. 17, 1985. The then-St. Louis Cardinals ran for a collective 237 yards but lost 24-14 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Lambeau flop: The Green Bay Packers' 34-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers marked the third time this season that Green Bay lost a home game by two touchdowns. The Packers lost by that same score to Detroit in Week 4 and by a 24-10 margin to Minnesota in Week 8. This is the first season Green Bay has suffered at least three losses of 14+ points at Lambeau Field since 2006. Those three losses were each by humiliating margins: 26-0 to Chicago in Week 1, 35-0 to New England in Week 11 and 38-10 to the Jets in Week 13.

Offense lets Pats down again: The New England Patriots offense continues to hold back an otherwise solid defense. This was apparent in a 27-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in which New England only surrendered 43 rushing yards. This comes two weeks after a 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers where the Patriots allowed just 29 rushing yards. This is the first time since 1963 that the Pats have lost multiple games in which less than 50 rushing yards were allowed.

Falcons fly low in rain: Under a deluge in Charlotte, the Atlanta Falcons offense was nonexistent in a 9-7 loss to the Carolina Panthers. This marked the first time Atlanta allowed less than 10 points but still lost since Sep. 7, 1997, a 9-6 defeat that coincidentally came to Carolina.
