Insider gives worrisome Lamar Jackson update

Nobody knows what Lamar Jackson's future looks like more than himself and the Ravens. But CBS NFL insider Jonathan Jones recently revealed some worrisome news following the team's hiring of offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

"Per sources, it’s my understanding that the Ravens did not fully integrate QB Lamar Jackson into the hiring process for their new offensive coordinator," Jones tweeted.

Baltimore originally stated that Jackson would play a role in the hiring of its new offensive coordinator after parting ways with OC Greg Roman. However, this recent news brings more doubt to those hoping Jackson stays a Raven.

The organization has also said it is "200 percent" committed to the 2019 NFL MVP. But the further into contract negotiations the two sides get, the more light will be shed on whether or not that number is lower.

To add to the speculation, it is being reported that the candidates Baltimore interviewed for offensive coordinator were not given full assurances that Jackson will be the team's quarterback next season as well.

Jackson will likely be tagged either way, but if he doesn't want to play on it, he'll likely be traded. The 26-year-old will surely bring a hefty price to those interested.
