Insider reveals Aaron Rodgers' feelings about delayed trade to Jets

The Green Bay Packers and New York Jets are still working out the details of a trade that will send Aaron Rodgers to the AFC. The move will end his 18-year tenure with the Packers, who selected him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. It is truly and end of an era in Green Bay, an era filled with plenty of fond memories. However, the drama surrounding Rodgers over the past three offseasons have led many to embrace the transition to Jordan Love.

Packers fans are not the only ones anxiously waiting for the sage to be over. While Jets owner Woody Johnson is feeling some anxiety about the amount of time it is taking to work out a trade, per ESPN's Rich Cimini, Rodgers does not seem to be bothered by it too much.

While Rodgers himself has not publicly said anything regarding the trade since his last appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" on March 15, Jeff Darlington reported on "SportsCenter" (h/t Bleacher Report) that the four-time MVP has told others that he feels "no anxiety" about the trade:

“I know right now a lot of people are wondering if this is going to get done, if this is going to be a situation where there’s real issues about this trade happening. I was speaking with one source close to Aaron Rodgers yesterday who said that he has no anxiety about it. He is chill about it. I just get the sense talking to people on both sides of the situation that we are closer than we have ever been with this trade being consummated with the Green Bay Packers knowing that their future is now with Jordan Love at quarterback.”

There is no reason to think that Rodgers would be feeling anxiety about the amount of time it is taking to finalize the trade. After all, Rodgers does not participate in offseason team activities until training camp starts. Per USA Today's Ryan Wood, Jets head coach Robert Saleh has said that he would not have a huge problem with Rodgers missing OTA’s and minicamp due to his familiarity with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
