All offseason long, the Pittsburgh Steelers and future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers have been one of the biggest storylines throughout the league. While he hasn't signed yet and the draft has come and gone, it's still widely expected that he will be the team's starting quarterback in 2025.

Rodgers has flown to Pittsburgh to visit in-person with the Steelers. He has also held a private throwing session with star wide receiver DK Metcalf.

Those are things that a player doesn't do unless he is extremely interested in signing with a team.

As shared by Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk was on the show and revealed the reason a deal hasn't been signed yet.

"@ProFootballTalk says on @937thefan a source told him the theory that Aaron Rodgers is waiting to sign with the Steelers until after the NFL schedule release so the league doesn't load up on early Steelers primetime games is 'right on the money,'" Fillipponi shared on X.

While that does make some level of sense, the NFL has to have an idea about Rodgers' intentions as well. They're seeing the same reports that everyone else has seen.

Regardless, the way Pittsburgh has operated this offseason gives fans a major hint that the front office and ownership are comfortable that Rodgers will indeed sign at some point.

After a disappointing two-year stretch with the New York Jets, Rodgers is looking to win. He's also looking for a storied franchise that carries itself the right way. The Steelers can offer him both of those things.

Even though the Rodgers watch is still on high alert, all signs continue pointing to Pittsburgh signing Rodgers to be its starting quarterback for the 2025 season.
