The NFL season has finally begun, and the opening week was an eventful one. The quarterback position shined in Week 1, but who stood out the most? Check below to see who made the top five quarterback power rankings.
You read that correctly. Daniel Jones cracks the top five quarterback power rankings list after putting on an absolute show in his Colts debut. He dominated the Dolphins’ defense, leading his squad to points on all seven possessions in the 33-8 win.
Jones completed 22 of his 29 attempts for 272 yards and one passing score. Michael Pittman and Tyler Warren combined for 13 catches, 156 yards, and a touchdown. He was just as effective on the ground, running for 26 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.
2025 Stats: 76% completion, 298 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 115.9 rating.
The second-most passing yards in Week 1 went to Geno Smith. In his first game with his new team, Smith looked comfortable, leading the Raiders to a 20-13 win over the Patriots.
Smith completed 71% of his passing attempts for 362 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. His solo touchdown pass went to Tre Tucker from 26 yards out. Brock Bowers had the bulk of his yards with 103 on five catches.
2025 Stats: 71% completion, 372 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and a 102.8 rating.
Age is just a number for the four-time MVP. The 41-year-old showed the entire league he can still ball after dissecting the Jets’ secondary and getting his revenge in a 34-32 win.
Aaron Rodgers completed 22 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns. He built instant chemistry with DK Metcalf as the pair connected four times for 83 yards. He marched Pittsburgh down the field in the dying minutes, setting up a Chris Boswell game-winning 60-yard field goal.
2025 Stats: 73% completion, 243 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions, 136.7 rating.
Justin Herbert may have played the best game of his career in Brazil. He outduelled Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs en route to a big divisional victory, 27-21.
Herbert completed 74% of his passes for 318 yards against a great Chiefs defense. His go-to target was Quentin Johnson, who hauled in five passes for 79 yards and two scores. Herbert was also effective with his legs, running for a game sealing 19-yard scramble on 3rd and 14.
2025 Stats: 74% completion, 350 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 131.7 rating.
The MVP from last season picked up right where he left off with a masterclass comeback victory in primetime. With his team trailing by 15 points and under four minutes left, Josh Allen orchestrated three consecutive perfect drives to steal a win in a Divisional Round rematch from last season. His performance earned him the top spot in the quarterback power rankings.
He completed 33 of 46 passes for 394 yards, two touchdowns, and tacked on another 30 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Allen dispersed the ball to nine different receivers, Keon Coleman being his favorite target, catching eight passes for 112 yards and a score.
2025 Stats: 72% completion, 424 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 112 rating.
