While on the Pat McAfee show, a close friend of Aaron Rodgers, A.J. Hawk, was asked if the Kentucky Derby was a wedding party for Rodgers. “It was not a wedding party, from what we knew. All of us were a bit surprised, we showed up as well. To tell you the truth, I don’t really know. I don’t know if I have any answers for you when it comes to that situation. He’s very private and mysterious when it comes to things like that — and this is definitely one of those, for sure,” Hawk said with a chuckle.

Anything Rodgers does or says makes headlines, and wearing a ring surely has gotten people talking.

Did Rodgers Delay Steelers Decision Due To Marriage?

The Steelers have been patiently waiting for Aaron Rodgers to decide on his NFL future.

He stated on the McAfee Show some time back that he is going through personal things, and he is not holding anyone hostage.

With a ring on his finger, it may mean it is a matter of time before he officially signs with the Steelers.

Steelers Correspondent for The Pat McAfee Show expects Rodgers to sign with the Steelers before OTAs begin on May 27th.

This timeline makes sense as the Steelers and Rodgers will want a deal done before OTAs begin.

Adding Rodgers Does Not Make The Steelers Super Bowl Contenders

All Rodgers is if/when he signs with the Steelers is a one-year bridge. He does not make the Steelers contenders to win the Super Bowl. In a division that has Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson, the Steelers, with Rodgers still, enter the year with the third-best QB in the division.

Pittsburgh needs to find a rookie QB in next year’s draft that has the potential to be a franchise QB. They tried by drafting QB Kenny Pickett in the first round in 2022, but he did not work out. Pickett is on his third team in four years.

Despite waiting for Rodgers, the Steelers are not Super Bowl contenders with or without Aaron Rodgers.
