The Buffalo Bills offense in 2024 was fueled by Joe Brady's "everybody eats" mantra and that served the franchise well, but it still didn't amount to something substantial in the playoffs.
The Bills won two playoff games and were within three points of slaying the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game, and that was with a receiver group led by Khalil Shakir.
The Amari Cooper trade didn't work out as many had hoped, and Keon Coleman, Mack Hollins, and Curtis Samuel all had their moments in the sun, but it wasn't consistent.
For some, the Bills need a genuine No. 1 weapon for Josh Allen and that receiver is Tee Higgins from the Cincinnati Bengals and CBS Sports writes that the Bills do need to get Allen help.
"Buffalo could use more pass-catching help for Josh Allen," CBS Sports writes.
We saw what the Bills offense was like with Stefon Diggs, and any No. 1 receiver coming to Buffalo this offseason must know that they might not get six or seven targets a game; that's just not how Brady's unit does its business.
That worked for Cooper because he isn't one to rock the boat, but if Higgins did come to Buffalo, would he be content with that? Plus, if he's paid north of $25 million APY, would the Bills front office be fine with him being a part of the machine and not the one leading it?
Those are the questions that need answers, and yes, the Bills might need a genuine star, but they showed in 2024 that they can manage just fine without one.
