Is This The 'Real Aaron Rodgers'?

The New York Jets season has been one out of a horror movie, but as we approach the final stretch, there is one positive, aside from the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Aaron Rodgers appears to have turned a corner in his play, with his last two outings being his better ones all season.

Rodgers has thrown for 628 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions, and is coming off his highest passer rating of the year (120.0), so the future Hall of Famer is starting to figure things out.

But given how the Jets' season has gone, coupled with Rodgers working through various injuries, head coach Jeff Ulbrich says that maybe his quarterback isn't getting the plaudits he deserves.

“I think there's some absolute truth of the fact that he struggled with injury for a good part of the season,” Ulbrich said. “As he's starting to get healthier, you're starting to see Aaron Rogers, the real Aaron Rogers, so it probably should be celebrated more than it is right now, but also get it from the standpoint of our record and the lack of success from a team perspective. But last couple games, it's been really cool for him to get back into form.”

With three games left in the season and Rodgers now getting a clean run, the hope is that he can continue this good form to the end of the year to give the Jets hierarchy something to think about next season regarding having No. 8 return.

Of course, that is predicated on Rodgers wanting to return as well, and as we know, he isn't the best at giving a straight answer when it comes to his future.

But for now, he appears to be playing some of his best football this season and while it is too little too late, at least we know that there is still something inside that aging body of his that the Jets might cling to.
