‘It Was Dope!’ Josh Allen Details History-Making TD

One of his touchdowns, an early play of the year candidate, counted as both a pass and a reception, as Allen caught a lateral from receiver Amari Cooper and was able to bring into the end zone from nine yards out.

Allen became the first player in NFL history to record a passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game. Not only that, but Allen became the Bills' all-time leader in total touchdowns in the game. 

Said Josh Allen: “He pitched it and I had to go make a play. It was dope!”

While Allen will (rightfully) be given plenty of credit for the victory on the offensive side of the ball, the Bills' running backs were also crucial in the win. The Bills finished with 220 total rushing yards, as James Cook totaled 107 yards and a touchdown, and Ray Davis finished with 63 yards and a touchdown.

With the victory, not only did Buffalo clinch their division, but they also stay in contention for the top seed in the AFC and a first-round bye with five weeks remaining.

Allen will also certainly remain the favorite for MVP after his historic performance and highlight reel play. Looking ahead, they will travel to face the 6-6 Los Angeles Rams in Week 14.
