Per Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News, tight end Dalton Schultz lamented the team's loss on everyone not being on the same page when it came to wearing cleats with long enough spikes.
"Five guys didn't have their seven (inch) studs in. Got to prepare to play on grass. You got to wear the right cleats," he said. (h/t The Dallas Morning News)
Per Watkins, head coach Mike McCarthy -- already familiar with the surface from his time as Packers head coach -- stressed the importance of getting the proper footwear before playing on the grass surface.
AT&T Stadium, home of the Cowboys, uses artificial turf.
The warning wasn't heeded by all and the Cowboys are now reeling after losing for the first time when having a 14-point lead entering the fourth quarter.
Cowboys now 195-1 in franchise history when they lead by 14 or more points going into the 4th quarter.
