Last week, Travon Walker only played 12 total defensive snaps for the Jacksonville Jaguars before he injured his wrist in the win over the San Francisco 49ers. This week, it was announced that he had some work done on that wrist.

"Had a surgical procedure done, will be listed day to day, and we will update you guys per the injury report… He has that kind of mindset and mentality," head coach Liam Coen said when asked if Walker could still play despite not getting much practice. "He is a great dude, he's going to try to do everything in his power. He was one of the first guys in the locker room on Sunday, congratulating everyone on the win, so it was pretty cool."

The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to play the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, where they will desperately need Walker.

Jaguars need Walker for the brutal next three games

The Chiefs are only 2-2 on the year, but they are still just as dangerous as ever. They are coming off a resounding blowout win over the Baltimore Ravens, where, yes, the Ravens are depleted on defense, but their offense was pretty healthy going into that game. Somehow, Baltimore still only managed to score 13 non-garbage time points, while KC dropped 37 points.

Now that Xavier Worthy is back, the Chiefs' offense looks elite again. So, they will need their edge rushers to put pressure on Patrick Mahomes and create chaos, because frankly, the tackles on the offensive line for Kansas City are either a rookie or penalty-prone on the other side in Jawaan Taylor, a guy everyone in Jacksonville knows.

This would be a very important game for the Jaguars to win, so they could establish themselves at the top of the AFC, be just a game behind the Indianapolis Colts, and have room to spare as their schedule then is playing the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams, two great teams.

It's not saying much, but this is the most difficult stretch of the Jaguars' schedule. Getting a win would be awesome, and they'll need Walker.
