Jacoby Brissett's 2016 NFL Draft story is ... interesting to say the least. The 27-year-old was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round, but he really was hoping that he wouldn't be.
On Devin and Jason McCourty's "McCourty Twins" podcast, Brissett told his former teammates that the last place he wanted to be drafted to was New England following his pre-draft visit. He didn't even have offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels phone number saved -- that's how badly he didn't want to be drafted by the Patriots.
However, once he met everyone on the team he really enjoyed his experience there.

Brissett was a member of the Patriots in 2016 and was then traded to the Indianapolis Colts where he led the team to a 7-8 record last season. He threw for 2,942 yards and 18 touchdowns while completing 60.9% of his passes.
While he had a decent first season as a starter, it's likely not going to last into 2020 after the Colts signed Phillip Rivers to a one-year deal.
However, he'll still have the opportunity to start games if Rivers either gets injured or doesn't live up to Indy's standards.
