Clowney signed a one-year deal with the Titans over the weekend worth up to $15 million.
At the start of free agency, Clowney was originally asking for $21 million per season. He eventually lowered his asking price to the $17 million to $18 million range, but he clearly wasn't able to get a deal worth that amount.
The 27-year-old is reunited with head coach Mike Vrabel, who was his position coach and later defensive coordinator with the Houston Texans.
In 13 games with Seattle last season, Clowney recorded three sacks, 21 solo tackles, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 13 quarterback hits. Now that he's with Tennessee, he'll join a defensive unit that includes Malcolm Butler and Vic Beasley, among others.
