'Jags in the Bahamas', Jacksonville Jaguars WRs Train Hard for 2025 Season
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Travis Hunter (12) greets fans during the second mandatory minicamp at Miller Electric Center Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Most NFL players are getting some time off before heading to training camp, but the three wideouts of the Jacksonville Jaguars are working extra hard on an island paradise. Recently, Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, and Dyami Brown were seen training together in the Bahamas thanks to Brown posting a training session on his Instagram.

Tropical team-up is not just an off-season tourist destination. It is a tactical move by the new fleet of wide receivers of the Jaguars to connect with each other and be on top of their games before the upcoming 2025 season.

Thomas Jr., who is coming off a breakout rookie season in 2024, is back as the leading pass-catching target in Jacksonville. His combination of talents is size, speed, and red zone capabilities, which has already made him look like one of the favorite targets of Trevor Lawrence. However, with added depth around him, his role may evolve, as well as leave room for even greater opportunities.

He is joined by Travis Hunter, the hot two-way player who used the spring getting additional reps at wide receiver. Although Jacksonville still views cornerback as his future position, they are exposing him to Liam Coen’s offense sooner rather than later, as they know how deadly he can be with the ball.

Then there is Dyami Brown, who transferred here following a quiet couple of years at his former team in Washington, but dominated the 2024 playoffs. The speed and accuracy Brown has displayed during OTAs and the minicamp have made jaws drop, in particular, Lawrence.

“His speed, his football IQ—he’s always in the right spot,” Lawrence recently said. “He’s getting the ball because he earns it.”

Jacksonville Jaguars Look to Start Hot This Seasons

There is some camaraderie that is developed in this threesome at the Bahamas workout. A more in-depth look at the Jaguars’ wideouts will be dropping this Monday on Brown’s YouTube Channel. The emergence of Brown and Hunter may divert attention from Thomas Jr., permitting the Jaguars’ best receiver to get himself in motion in the formation and capitalize on mismatches.

More importantly, there is a commitment demonstrated by this offseason trip. The scene may be picturesque, but the effort is serious–and one which may be well worth its weight in gold when the Sundays come.
