Anton Harrison was carted off the field during Jacksonville’s Week 5 victory. The fourth-year offensive tackle is now set to miss time, although it is unclear how long he will be sidelined.

The Jaguars will play a second straight game in London during Week 6, but Harrison is flying back to the United States. Upon arrival, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler report arthroscopic knee surgery will take place. The procedure will reveal the scale of Harrison’s recovery timeline.

As Rapoport notes, an absence of three to five weeks could be in store. On the other hand, Harrison may end up sidelined for a span of three to four months, which would end his season in all likelihood. Further details will be worth watching for in this case, although in any event a move to injured reserve is likely. Missing Harrison for any stretch will weaken the Jaguars’ offensive line as they look to remain atop the AFC South.

After spending his first three seasons as a right tackle starter, Harrison began working on the blindside ahead of the 2026 campaign. The 24-year-old has operated as Jacksonville’s first-team option at left tackle to begin the season, but he will now turn his attention to recovery. Cole Van Lanen – who received a three-year extension in January – is likely to remain in place at right tackle, which would allow Walker Little to take on left tackle duties.

Jacksonville picked up Harrison’s fifth-year option, meaning he is on the books for 2027 at a cost of just over $19MM. That is also the final year of Little’s contract, whereas Van Lanen is under team control through the 2028 campaign. Much of the team’s setup on the blindside will depend on its evaluation of Harrison, meaning a lengthy injury absence could hinder his chances of landing a long-term extension this offseason.

Jacksonville’s offense currently sits mid-pack in several offensive categories. A step back in terms of production could be in store without Harrison available, although a return later in the year could be in store depending on the nature and success of his surgery.
