Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence was helped off the field and into the locker room during a Week 9 game against the Buffalo Bills after appearing to injure his right ankle. Just minutes later, Lawrence returned to the sideline and came back into the game shortly thereafter.
Lawrence, 22, completed 10 of 14 pass attempts for 76 yards against the Bills before leaving the game. He was replaced by fifth-year veteran C.J. Beathard who joined the Jaguars in the offseason after spending the first four years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers.
Beathard threw just three passes after taking over for Lawrence and completed two for 33 yards.
The injury occurred when Jaguars offensive lineman Walker Little was forced back into Lawrence by Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes.
