Jaguars Receiving Interest In WR Brian Thomas Jr.
USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect

Tom Pelissero reports that the Jaguars are continuing to receive trade interest in WR Brian Thomas, adding that any potential trade will likely happen closer to the deadline.

Thomas’s role has decreased dramatically since his rookie season, and he’s behind Parker Washington, who’s having a breakout season, and veteran Jakobi Meyers.

Jacksonville turned down some big offers for Thomas last year before the trade deadline. It looks like they’ll face a similar choice this year.

Thomas, 24, was a three-year starter at LSU and earned third-team All-American and second-team All-SEC honors in 2023. The Jaguars used the No. 23 pick in the 2024 draft on him.

He’s in the third year of a four-year, $14,383,048 rookie contract that includes a $7,280,399 signing bonus. The contract also includes a fifth-year option for the team to pick up in 2028.

In 2026, Thomas has appeared in six games for the Jaguars, catching nine passes on 18 targets for 105 yards and one touchdown.

We’ll have more on Thomas and the Jaguars as the news becomes available.
