Travis Hunter has grabbed the attention of experts and fans alike with his two-way potential. The Jacksonville Jaguars' rookie has played both offensive and defensive snaps throughout his career, and he is about to do the same at the biggest stage of them all.

While some are surprised to see a two-way star, many analysts have concerns and doubts about Hunter's ability to live up to his dual role. Even the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end, Travis Kelce, said teams will target him and try to tire him out.

But the No. 2 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft trusts himself. The 22-year-old has given himself a new nickname ahead of his first season in the NFL. Hunter sat down with NFL insider Pete Prisco to share his thoughts about his dual role and reveal his new nickname.

"It's the Unicorn," Hunter said. "I definitely think I could play them[snaps] all. If I didn't think I could play them all, I wouldn't be trying to do it."

The Jaguars' rookie was asked about what makes him think that he's capable of doing something nobody has ever done.

"Just my mental. You've got to have the right mindset going into it. You've got to have the right knowledge. You've got to understand what you're doing when you're going out there. You've got to understand how to take care of your body, too," Hunter said.

The former Colorado Buffaloes star said he doesn't do anything extra about his running. His mentality before playing snaps, be it offensive or defensive, is to just go out there and execute the plans.

Hunter has warned his opponents about his ability to catch the ball in the air on both sides of the gridiron. His numbers from his college years are a proof of his potential. He hauled 96 passes for 1,258 yards, 15 touchdowns, and four interceptions last season with the Buffaloes, winning the Heisman Trophy.

Jaguars traded up to acquire Hunter in this year's draft, parting away with significant amount of draft capital in the process. Only time will tell if the youngster manages to pull the franchise out of their woes.
