Jaguars vs. Bengals: Christian Kirk, Tre Herndon Exit With Injuries
USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars entered their Week 13 game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals relatively healthy, but they did suffer two potentially significant injuries in the first quarter.

Wide receiver Christian Kirk exited the game with a groin injury after a 26-yard reception on the Jaguars' first offensive play of the game. Kirk reached for his groin after he hit the ground and was attended to by trainers before eventually limping to the walker room alongside two trainers.

Kirk entered the Monday Night Football matchup as the Jaguars' leading receiver, leading the offense in targets and yards and ranking second in receptions, behind only Evan Engram.

Kirk was immediately replaced in the lineup by rookie wide receiver Parker Washington since his usual backup, Jamal Agnew, is on injured reserve.

Kirk wasn't the only Jaguars starter to head to the locker room during the first-half, though. The Jaguars also had starting nickel cornerback Tre Herndon, who has started in all 12 games this season, leave after the second play of the game.

Herndon was involved on a tackle on second-down before quickly exiting the field following the play. Herndon was checked on by the team trainer before eventually entering the blue medical tent for concussion protocol. Herndon then exited the field and went to the locker room.

With Herndon out of the lineup, the Jaguars replaced him with second-year cornerback Gregory Junior. It is important to note with Herndon's injury that fellow second-year cornerback Montaric Brown is inactive.

The Jaguars also saw starting safety Andre Cisco leave the field with a shoulder injury.
