Jacksonville wideout Zay Jones will miss his third straight game Sunday at Pittsburgh with a knee injury, Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said Friday.

Pederson said he hopes Jones will be able to return after the team's bye in Week 9.

Jones was injured in the Week 2 loss to Kansas City, then missed two games and returned in Week 5 for a 25-20 victory over Buffalo. He caught a touchdown pass but re-injured the knee in that Oct. 8 game in London.

Jones, 28, has eight receptions for 78 yards and two touchdowns in three games. Last season, his first in Jacksonville, he was second on the team with 82 receptions for 823 yards and five touchdowns.

Pederson said defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton, who has not played this season because of a back injury, could be available Sunday when the Jaguars (5-2) visit the Steelers (4-2).

"DaVon is trending well," Pederson said Friday. "He's practiced in full this week. We'll get another good day today and then we'll see how it feels and where he's at."

Hamilton, 26, was a third-round pick of the Jaguars in the 2020 draft out of Ohio State. He has played in 44 games (28 starts) and has 132 total tackles, including 4 1/2 sacks and nine tackles for loss.
