The Green Bay Packers (6-3) have ruled out cornerback Jaire Alexander for the remainder of Sunday’s Week 11 road game against the Chicago Bears (4-5).

Alexander was listed as questionable with a knee injury leading up to the game. He missed Green Bay’s Week 9 contest against the Detroit Lions (8-1) with the injury but had the Week 10 bye to get healthy. Alexander was on the field for 10 plays before leaving the game for good. Carrington Valentine has replaced Alexander opposite Eric Stokes at outside corner.

“Matt LaFleur telling me, ‘I don’t think you’re gonna see him the rest of the way,'” Erin Andrews of FOX Sports reported after speaking with the Packers head coach at halftime.

Injuries have played a big role throughout the 27-year-old’s career. He played in just four games in 2021, and seven this past season. Of the Packers’ 10 games this season, he’s been healthy enough to play in seven of them. That includes his early exit against Chicago.

Alexander has continued to be productive when on the field, tallying 16 tackles (15 solo), two interceptions (one pick six) and seven passed defended coming into Sunday’s game. He did not get on the stat sheet Sunday.
