Jake Browning Avoiding Emotional Rollercoaster After First NFL Win: 'Getting Back to Your Routine as Quickly as Possible'

Bengals quarterback Jake Browning is blocking out the noise—good or bad—this week as the Bengals try to start another winning streak this season.

The latest AFC Offensive Player of the Week knows he has to stay level, despite a historic performance on Monday night.

"Probably ignoring the media somewhat kidding there but yeah," Browning said about how to keep the momentum rolling. "I think I've watched a lot of football and I feel like at least for quarterbacks. You're either the greatest ever or you suck. It's just like this all the time (a rollercoaster). And there's a lot of peace and sanity right here, which is kind of where I like to stay. I'm obviously new. There's some new (players) but we've won a lot of games here. And we've had good seasons."

Browning now turns his sights to another matchup against a Gardner Minshew-led team. It's a quarterback he's familiar with dating back to their battle in the Apple Cup between Washington and Washington State.

A 28-15 win like he pulled off at Washington in 2018 would be very timely, given Indianapolis is right above Cincinnati in the AFC playoff race.

"It's just getting back to your routine as quickly as possible," Browning said. "Especially on a short week. I don't think there's really been much time to let it sink in. Oh, that was a good win or what a great overtime win, but I know for me personally, it's going in and looking at the film of every game the same whether you won or lost and you know picking out a couple of things you can get better at."

Cincinnati is a sight underdog entering Sunday's home game.
