Jakeem Grant Announces Retirement

Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jakeem Grant announced his retirement today.

Grant was a 6th-round pick by the Dolphins in 2016 and was in Miami for 6 seasons and 70 games.

Grant started 8 games at WR in Miami, had 91 receptions for 1,001 yards and 5 receiving touchdowns.

Grant also had 3 punt return touchdowns and 2 kickoff return touchdowns as a member of the Miami Dolphins.

Midway through the 2021 season, Grant was traded to Chicago. He also played for Cleveland and Atlanta in his career.

Grant hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2021.

In an Instagram message, Grant said: “Today, I close a chapter with gratitude in my heart. Football gave me purpose, and every moment was a blessing. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey. Here’s to the next adventure.”
