Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to cap off an unbelievable season with a win in Super Bowl 59 tonight.
Hurts has taken his share of criticism from outsiders and even some Philadelphia fans, but all the former second-round pick has done is continue to win games. Throughout the season and the playoffs, Hurts has had the love and support of his fiancée, Bry Burrows. Burrows was on the field after the Eagles beat the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship Game last month.
In the leadup to the game last week, Hurts thanked Burrows when speaking with reporters.
"To Bry, the Mrs., thank you for the support, thank you for the love. And thank you for being the rock that I can lean on," Hurts said.
Burrows and Hurts have been together for a while now, but are rather private about their relationship. Burrows especially doesn't share much about her life on social media.
We know the two met while they were students at the University of Alabama. Both were involved in Greek life: Burrows was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., while Hurts was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
The two were engaged prior to the start of the 2024 season.
“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts told Essence about Burrows last spring.
"I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”
So far tonight, Hurts is responsible for the only touchdown of the game, scoring on a 1-yard tush push following a 27-yard pass to Jahan Dotson. Currently, the Eagles lead 10-0 midway through the second quarter.
We'll see if Philadelphia can hang on. If so, Hurts and Burrows can celebrate a Super Bowl title together later tonight.
