The Philadelphia Eagles are off to a roaring start against the Washington Commanders, but there is some concern for Jalen Hurts.
On Philadelphia's second drive of the game, Hurts took a big while attempting to get down at the end of a scramble. It wasn't intentional, but the Washington defender hit the veteran quarterback helmet-to-helmet. Hurts immediately left the field and went to the blue medical tent.
He eventually made his way to the locker room, and the Eagles announced they are evaluating their field general for a concussion.

Kenny Pickett replaced Hurts and didn't miss a beat at first, completing 3-of-3 passes for 20 yards and a four-yard touchdown to A.J. Brown, which gave Philadelphia a 14-0 lead.
However, on his next pass on the team's ensuing series, Pickett was intercepted by Frankie Luvu, which set the Commanders up deep in Philadelphia territory.
Prior to today, Pickett had attempted only three passes all season.
Hurts was 1-for-4 passing for 11 yards and carried three times for 41 yards before exiting the game. The fifth-year pro is coming off a stellar performance in last week's 27-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hurts completed 25-of-32 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing score. It was a satisfying showing after a week of criticism of Hurts and the Eagles' passing attack.
"The approach was a little different this week. The grass will be green where you water it, and we decided to water [the pass game], and you kind of saw the fruits of our labor in that," Hurts said after the game.
The Commanders just scored to trim the Eagles' lead to 14-7. We'll see if Hurts is done for the day or if he returns to take back the reins of the offense.
