One day is all the Philadelphia Eagles needed from their players before sending them off for the next month and one of their star players ended offseason workouts on a high note.
94 WIP Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks has been tracking the quarterbacks' statistics throughout the offseason workouts. Shorr-Parks examined the work that Jalen Hurts has been doing at workouts, and from the stats he is sharing, Hurts has been performing well.
Tuesday's mandatory minicamp was the last chance for Eagles fans to see how Hurts performed. Shorr-Parks shared that Hurts yet had another great day and might have had his best pass of the offseason workouts.
"Jalen had another really outstanding day. He was 20 of 21. I think he's 50 of 55 now in the three practices I've seen him. His best throw of day was a deep touchdown to DeVonta Smith. It was 7-on-7, it was probably about 30 yards out. DeVonta was open, but he hit him and it was a touchdown. Outside of that, Jalen kind of looked how he has for the past three practices. In control, good decisions. The only incompletion he had today was a pass over the middle to A.J. (Brown), which was broken up by a defender. So, really good practice from him."

For Eagles fans, this is nothing new, as Hurts has been playing at an elite level for the better part of his last three years. Hurts finished the 2024 season with 2,903 passing yards and 18 touchdowns to five interceptions, and added 630 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. His Super Bowl performance earned him an MVP award for the game.
This offseason has been polarizing in terms of how people feel about Hurts, with some believing he's one of the top five quarterbacks. Some believe he was carried by 2024 Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley.
Hurts has proven throughout these workouts is his accuracy and decision-making is on point. He has yet to throw an interception and appears to be in command of the offense.
Any concerns about how Hurts is going to play in 2025 should be put to rest with his performances on the practice field.
