Training camp can be a trying time for NFL players, but nothing helps get through the grind of camp like a little friendly rivalry. For Seattle Seahawks quarterback Jalen Milroe and linebacker Derick Hall, that happened naturally after a recent practice.
Hall approached Milroe with some gear in his hands, looking to collect signatures for a fan. One twist: Some of the gear he was holding was Auburn stuff.
Jalen Milroe, a former Alabama quarterback, reacted with surprise when he saw the slick reveal from Hall, a former Auburn linebacker. Hall held up a white hat with an orange hat underneath it. Milroe initially went to go sign the white cap.
Then, as the quarterback got close, Hall ripped away the white hat on top to reveal an orange Auburn cap. Milroe let out a surprised yell.
“I got you, though,” Jalen Milroe said, going to sign the equipment. Hall quickly ripped it away.
“You finna sign that?!?” Hall said, rather incredulously. Now it was Milroe’s turn to get some shots in.
“Hey, I’m undefeated against Auburn,” Milroe said. You can view a video of the interaction below.

The Seahawks drafted Milroe with the No. 92 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, taking him with a third-round selection. With that draft pick comes some level of expectation. But for now Jalen Milroe has mostly worked with the third team in training camp so far.
The rookie quarterback is behind the likes of Sam Darnold and Drew Lock. He’ll have his work cut out for him earning playing time come the regular season, with Seattle in pretty good shape at the position. But the preseason figures to give Milroe plenty of opportunities to show what he can do.
The former Crimson Tide standout will be looking to build on the success he had in college. In his final year in 2024, Milroe threw for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns, against 11 interceptions. He also ran for 726 yards and 20 touchdowns.
