Jalen Milroe was drafted No. 92 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, and the Seahawks are set to play in the Super Bowl this Sunday.

At a Super Bowl media event, Milroe was asked about his rookie season and how things have gone so far in the NFL.

“I’ll say it’s been a blessing,” Milroe said. “First year in the league and being able to experience the Super Bowl, it’s been outstanding. Not too many people get this experience, so it’s been a lot of fun being here, and appreciative, especially when a year ago, not knowing where I was going to go but now being here at the Super Bowl is pretty cool.”

It’s a unique thing for a rookie quarterback to experience the Super Bowl. Sure, Milroe is a backup right now, but he’s got a solid teammate in the quarterback room to learn from.

The former Alabama quarterback spent his rookie season backing up Sam Darnold, a guy that resurrected his career last season in Minnesota before signing with the Seahawks in the offseason.

The Seahawks are hitting on all cylinders with Darnold at the helm, and he’s led them to the Super Bowl.

Here is what Milroe had to say about learning from Sam Darnold in his first season with Seattle.

“It’s been awesome,” Milroe said. “It’s been awesome to be around him, be able to learn, be able to grow as a player, but also be able to fellowship as well. I was able to meet him before being drafted here, and he’s been great to me the whole time. So, to see him ball, take command of the offense and see what he’s doing this year, it’s been a lot of fun. I’ve learned a lot from being around him.”

Milroe did say one thing this week that the 12th man would label as debatable, and it was his answer to a question basically asking if the environment for an Alabama home game is better than a Seahawks home game.

“Alabama, for sure,” Milroe told the Irish NFL Show on February 6th. “It’s not fair, though. There’s 20,000 additional fans in Tuscaloosa. So, I’m gonna ride with college. College is definitely louder.”

Super Bowl LX between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will kick off Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CT on NBC and Peacock.
