Jamal Adams Signs With Las Vegas Raiders

Three-time Pro Bowl Safety, Jamal Adams, found a new home with the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday. The hard-hitting safety is reuniting with former Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll in a move with hopes that Adams can reach his glory days with the New York Jets and Seattle.

Jamal Adams’ Past Few Seasons

Adams, 29, is coming off a forgettable 2024 season, during which he had stints in Tennessee and Detroit, appearing in three games with the Titans and two with the Lions.

The former 6th overall pick out of LSU last featured in a Pro Bowl in 2020. A season in which he was also named Second Team All-Pro. This was the second AP honor he obtained, the first being in 2018.

It’s been nearly half a decade since Jamal Adams achieved any form of relevance. However, Adams states he is in the best shape of his career. In 85 career games played, Jamal Adams has recorded 21.5 sacks to go along with 4 interceptions.

Final Thoughts

This isn’t a particular boom or bust move. There is not much space to go with either side. It’s interesting to see Adams receiving multiple opportunities to play when he appears to have no chance of returning to his best years. He has the potential to make a solid comeback with a larger-than-lackluster secondary in Las Vegas, but something tells me we’ll be seeing more Earl Thomas in Baltimore rather than a Julian Love in Seattle.
