Ja'Marr Chase Not Seeking Redemption Regarding Elf Comments About Browns: 'Ain't Much Redemption, They Going Somewhere We Ain't Going'

Ja'Marr Chase said the quiet part out loud about why Sunday's game ultimately means little in the zoomed-out scope of the Bengals franchise trajectory. The Pro Bowl wide receiver commented on the Browns' elf mascot before the Week 1 loss to Cleveland this season.

He knows there's not really redemption on the line for that comment this Sunday because the Browns "are going somewhere we ain't going."

"Ain't much redemption, they going somewhere we ain't going," Chase said about the Browns playoff berth. "I could just beat them, but everybody ain't playing. So it ain't really bragging rights."

Chase has performed pretty poorly against Cleveland compared to the rest of his career, averaging 5.8 catches and 58 yards per game with one touchdown in four matchups.

He can at least boost those numbers on Sunday and finish his third NFL season strong.
