Ja’Marr Chase wants you to take your fantasy football tears somewhere else.
The Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chase once again struggled along with the rest of the offense during Monday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Cincinnati got blown out at Empower Field in Denver, Colo., losing by a 28-3 final score and only managing a meager 159 yards of total offense (with zero touchdowns).
Chase in particular had a difficult game. He was targeted 10 times but caught just five passes for an uncharacteristic 23 yards receiving.
After the loss, Chase sent a message to his angry fantasy managers in a post to his X page. “man yall better leave me alone man,” he wrote along with several laughing emojis.

The four-time Pro Bowler Chase led the NFL in all major receiving categories last season and is largely seen as the top wideout in football today. But you wouldn’t know it based on the 26 catches for 264 yards and one touchdown that Chase has produced through four games for the Bengals this season.
Obviously though, that isn’t really Chase’s fault considering that battery mate Joe Burrow is in the midst of a three-month absence with a toe injury suffered in Week 2. As a result, backup quarterback Jake Browning has had to step in, and he has often missed Chase on throws, targeted him in short-yardage situations only, or been unable to get rid of the football altogether. Many fans have been making cruel comments about Browning on social media lately too.
Chase, who was the No. 1 overall pick in most fantasy football leagues this year, is probably too talented not to turn it around at some point. But Chase has enough problems in the real world right now (including a confrontation with Bengals coach Zac Taylor during Monday’s loss) that he does not at all care about the fantasy world.
