Jameis Winston’s NFL journey has been long and winding, and his 2025 season with the New York Giants was another chapter in a career that has been widely celebrated by football fans despite minimal team success. The former No. 1 overall pick signed a two-year, $8 million contract with New York in March 2025, adding veteran depth to a rebuilding roster.
In 2025, Winston completed 567 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, finishing with a 68.6 QBR while stepping in as starter in multiple games amid injuries rookie to Jaxson Dart.
Despite limited opportunities, Winston’s experience provided stability and leadership on a young team. His veteran presence helped mentor emerging talent and offered the Giants flexibility during another disappointing season.
Away from the field, Winston has been building a second career in broadcasting that has drawn positive attention. Over the years, he has made notable appearances on NFL studio shows and served as a correspondent for major networks. Most recently, he was featured on “Fox NFL Kickoff” and “Fox NFL Sunday.”
On Saturday, it was confirmed that Winston will appear with Peyton and Eli Manning on the ManningCast during the 49ers-Seahawks game on ESPN2, a role confirmed to Front Office Sports by Omaha Productions.
The ManningCast, produced by Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, has become one of the most popular alternate broadcasts in football, giving Winston a platform alongside two of the game’s most recognizable voices.

His broadcasting résumé also includes digital correspondent work during Super Bowl week and other guest roles that have earned praise for his insight and affable presence.
As the Giants (3-13) prepare for their regular-season finale, that ManningCast appearance could foreshadow a post-playing career path for Winston, even as he enters the final year of his contract. New York faces off against the Dallas Cowboys (7-8-1) on Sunday, with kickoff at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
