The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions faced off on "Thursday Night Football," kicking off Week 14 of the NFL season. It was their second matchup of the year, with the first meeting taking place in Green Bay on Nov. 3, and this rematch unfolding in Detroit.

It was only about two months ago that Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed hopped on Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and his brother's podcast, the "St. Brown Podcast."

They spoke about various topics and even had some friendly NFC North trash talk. Reed said, "Wait until I come to Detroit." Well, things didn't exactly go according to plan for him.

The Lions defeated the Packers 34-31 and Reed finished the game without a single touch - one target, zero receptions and zero yards.

After the game, Bleacher Report Betting posted the clip of the trash talk and a graphic showing Reed's stat line.

That's when the Lions' other wide receiver, Jameson Williams, chimed in. He left a comment on the post, igniting a little back-and-forth between himself and Reed.

"Did he come ? ," Williams wrote.

Then, Reed replied to William's comment.

"do yo homework on career stats gang ✌," Reed said.

Williams then responded to Reed.

"u only as good as yo last game," Williams added.

Reed is in his second season in the NFL. Over that time frame, the former Michigan State Spartan combined for 108 receptions, 1,486 yards and 14 touchdowns through the air. On the ground, he has 24 carries for 247 yards and three touchdowns.

On the other hand, Williams is in his third season in the NFL but only played in six games his rookie year because he was recovering from an ACL injury. He's accumulated 63 receptions for 1,064 yards and seven touchdowns.

After Thursday night’s game, the Lions improved to 12-1, holding a three-game lead over the Packers (9-4) and a two-and-a-half-game cushion ahead of the Minnesota Vikings (10-2) in the division race.
