Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker is a highly-intense person by nature and brings that level of fire to the field with his play. Off the field, Brisker is a very intense and out-spoken person as well.
On social media, Brisker is always sharing his thoughts and has turned into a must-follow for any Bears' fan. Two weeks ago, Brisker responded to a post about his usage on defense, leading to more of a change in the following week.
And on Wednesday, Brisker was highly active on social media again, going to bat for his fellow teammate in the backend, Kevin Byard.
On Wednesday, the NFL announced the Player of the Week honors for the NFC on offense, defense, and special teams. One Bears player was recognized for the second week in a row in Josh Blackwell, who had a key game-winning field goal block in Week 4.
Another player with a strong performance against the Las Vegas Raiders was veteran safety Kevin Byard, who totaled two interceptions in the win. Yet, the NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors instead went to Philadelphia Eagles second-year cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, and Brisker wasn't happy about that decision.
"The fact it should be two Bear players on here.. KB got robbed ! Go check out his stats," Brisker posted on X/Twitter.
"Two picks and some tackles … is not worthy no more ?!?! They ain’t wanna put two bear players on it. Cause cmon now. A pick alone is worth GOLD," Brisker shared in a separate post.
Safe to say Jaquan Brisker isn't happy about the NFC Player of the Week winner on defense.

Kevin Byard certainly got robbed. pic.twitter.com/eMH2gAxJXO
Brisker has very right to feel that way and good on him sticking up for his fellow teammate, because Byard was absolutely robbed.
Not only did Byard come away with two interceptions against quarterback Geno Smith, he also finished second on the team with seven total tackles, including a huge third-down solo tackle on the final drive of the game against running back Ashton Jeanty to force a field goal, making up for his missed tackle earlier in the game.
Even Pro Football Focus had Byard as the second-highest graded defender in the league, trailing only Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons, who had 10 total pressures. If you're not giving the honors to Byard, at least give it to Parsons.
Mitchell, meanwhile, had just five total tackles for the Eagles. But, he did have five forced incompletions in coverage, I'll give him that. But even in coverage, PFF had 15 defenders ranked above him, including his own teammate Cooper DeJean and two Bears defenders (Byard and Tyrique Stevenson). Someone certainly messed up with that recognition this week.
