Jaquan Brisker sends a loud message with how he's being used in Dennis Allen's defense and he could be the ideal fix to the problems

The Chicago Bears' defense has been a major disappoint over the last five quarters of play between the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Vikings and the entire game against the Detroit Lions.

What's frustrating is that Dennis Allen's unit was supposed to be the strength for this team early on based on everything we saw during training camp and the preseason. What's happened the last five quarters has been disappointing, but that doesn't mean things can't change going forward.

“We brought in Dennis Allen for a reason — he does a phenomenal job coaching it to not only the coaches but the players,” head coach Ben Johnson explained this week. “I got a lot of faith and confidence that the experience we have on that side of the ball is gonna shine through for us, and we’ll get this thing back cranking the way we want it to go.”

Pass rush has been the main lack of success for the defense, leading to major problems for the secondary and the rest of the entire unit. The front four simply isn't getting the job done and Johnson noted a fix could be to send more pressure at the quarterback. One player the Bears could turn to his already speaking out on social media with a similar idea.

Jaquan Brisker responds on social media to how he's being used in Dennis Allen's scheme

On Wednesday, an account on X had a post saying "[The Bears] gotta let Jaquan Brisker get up on that LOS & play in the backfield. [Dennis Allen] gotta take the chains off 9." Not too long after, Brisker reposted the tweet and replied saying "Facts. Use me."

Clearly being more of a factor closer to the line of scrimmage is something Brisker wants more of going into Week 3 after how he was used the first two weeks of the season. Going into the season, Brisker noted he wants to be a "swiss-army knife" for Allen's unit. He has the versatility, instincts, and violent ability to do it.

Two weeks into the season, Brisker has played 58 snaps in coverage and only 3 pass rush snaps. In terms of playing closer to the LOS, Brisker has lined up in the box or on the defensive line for 47 snaps out of 115 total.

If the coaching staff wants to potentially add more pressure packages in to help with the pass rush, Brisker certainly seems like a player eager to get more involved. Brisker, in his career, has totaled 18 pressures and 7.0 sacks according to PFF.

But, speaking out on social media is never the best way to go about it.
