It took way too long for Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen to get the call for the Hall of Fame, but it became official on Thursday at NFL Honors when he was one of four players announced for the 2025 Hall of Fame class.

Allen was a finalist all five seasons he was eligible for the Hall of Fame and finally received the induction he deserved. During his career, Allen was a five-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All Pro, had 136.0 career sacks, and had 22.0 sacks in 2011 which ranks second in NFL history.

Jared Allen should get inducted like he did when entering Vikings Ring of Honor

Allen is a colorful character. He used to announce himself as an alum of Culinary Academy and Home School when on Sunday Night Football and had the coolest retirement video of him literally riding off into the sunset on his horse.

When the Vikings inducted him into the Ring of Honor in 2022, he entered the stadium on his horse. It was an incredible visual to see him in his element riding onto the gridiron, which was his element as well.

As the Vikings' Twitter/X account said in the above tweet, has anyone done that before? Of course not, but it would be peak Allen to do just that. Plus, he has a history of doing unique things to maximize entertainment value while also showing off his personality.

Could Canton, Ohio accommodate that kind of thing? I'm sure they would find a way to do just that, as you can make just about anything happen with enough time to plan for it. Allen has already showed a willingness to take his horse to a large venue, so the horse should be fine.

It would be one incredible visual to see Allen ride into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on horseback.
